The U-M Medical School Department of Internal Medicine Division of Allergy & Clinical Immunology is dedicated to providing quality patient care, medical education and high level investigative research.
We are leaders in the diagnosis and treatment of allergic and immunologic conditions from simple to complex, including drug allergies and reactions, anaphylaxis, chronic sinusitis and nasal polyposis, asthma, rhinitis, conjunctivitis, hives, allergic dermatitis, eczema, food allergies, immune deficiencies, occupational allergies, mastocytosis, hereditary angioedema, and other complex disorders of the immune system.
Division faculty are actively engaged in allergy research and are committed to providing patients with the very best in patient care and treatment. Division faculty also collaborate with the multi-disciplinary Mary H. Weiser Food Allergy Center, which focuses on food allergy research.

The Division of Allery & Clinical Immunology is seeking applicants to fill a Clinical Assistant Professor/Clinical Associate Professor/Clinical Professor position. Rank of selected candidate is dependent upon qualifications.
The ideal candidate should have an MD or DO degree and postgraduate clinical training. They should hold or have the ability to obtain the appropriate medical license in the State of Michigan as well as be board certified or board eligible in Allergy and Immunology. Candidates should be able to collaborate effectively with other clinicians. Good oral and written communication skills are essential. Evidence of clinical competence and didactic teaching is expected.
Additional consideration will be given to those with interest and/or experience in the following areas:
- Food allergy
- Primary immunodeficiency
- Atopic dermatitis
- Multi-disciplinary clinics
- Clinical research
- Quality improvement
- Integrative medicine
We currently have four clinic locations. Location of practice will be dependent on Divisional needs.

- Allergy Clinic at Northville Health Center
- Allergy at Brighton Center for Specialty Care

We have exceptional opportunities for faculty appointments in the tenure track for individuals involved in basic, translational, and/or clinical research endeavors. A generous start-up package with significant protected time for research will be provided, with the eventual goal of independent federally-funded research. The rank of the selected candidate will depend on qualifications, and is available at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, Professor level.
In addition to scholarly activity, the ideal candidate will be expected to participate in patient care duties, along with teaching of medical students, house officers, and fellows. The position is available to both internal medicine and pediatric-trained applicants.
